autumn

September 9th, 2009

Autumn is here.

I was watching Simpson today with my boy and realized I closing in on Homers age. Internet told me he is 36, so three years still to go there… only three years and I’m Homer Simpson.

rupture

Rupture in reality of asphalt.

road rash

August 30th, 2009

Cycling is fun and good for health.

I opened this years cycling season quite late last week, but have to say with a bang. What I learned is that narrow tires, wet road and hard braking don’t mix. Now I got road rash on my leg, ass, elbow and shoulder.

bar loose

August 16th, 2009

Bar Loose in Helsinki.

It has been little bit quiet summer for photographing and publishing to this site. Realities of growing family has hit me for the second time and it has consumed all my time.
Maybe when it starts to get dark again I’ll found some time.

As always I’m looking after nice camera bags and found these Incases new bags. Looks quite nice, not too camerabaggish.

hietalahti

July 28th, 2009

Hietalahti in Punavuori, Helsinki.

In the west corner of Punavuori is small dock for leisure boats.
Also first picture to be published with new gear. Even though I don’t have much experience from the film era of photographing I have to say I enjoy to have the 20mm lens to present 20mm picture, not 30mm as with my previous cameras.

countryside

July 24th, 2009

Finnish cultural landscape.

Even though more Finns are nowadays living in cities this kind of field landscape still stays in our hearts and minds of as a picture what is truly representing Finland.

Bright day outside, darkness inside.

chandelier

July 22nd, 2009

Old chandelier.

Back from the holidays finally. Nice to be home after two weeks of traveling with kids. You really start to appreciate the working logistics of home when you are elsewhere.

nightfall

June 22nd, 2009

Nightfall, again.

I took similar picture about one year and eleven months ago from the same building… maybe two floors higher. Had to post this as I have been looking at this scene for few days now quite a lot.
By the way, those specs are not dust, but swallows.
